What Is It?
Substances of Concern In articles as such or in complex Products/objects (SCIP)
Since 5 January 2021, companies in the EU supplying articles containing Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs, i.e. included on the REACH Candidate List) in a concentration of 0.1% w/w or above, need to notify their information to ECHA via the SCIP database. This requirement originates from the Waste Framework Directive (WFD), and it is in addition to the requirement to declare SVHCs in the supply chain directly to your customers, as per REACH Article 33.
In order to submit an entry to ECHA’s SCIP database, a dossier must be created according to the IUCLID format.

Strategic Consultation
Companies outside of the EU are also affected if they are part of a global supply chain that includes the EU.
We can advise on strategies to fulfil your obligations, whether you are in or outside the EU.

CBI Protection
ECHA will not disseminate who submitted the SCIP notification, but CBI concerns remain regarding other aspects of the data.
We can advise on ways to protect your and your suppliers’ CBI.

Data Transformation
SCIP dossiers must be submitted according to the IUCLID format.
We can help transform your data into the right format and submit to the database via a system-to-system API.
