K-REACH
K-REACH, established by the Korean Ministry of Environment on 1 January 2015 and last amended in April 2021, regulates chemicals to protect public health and the environment. Compliance is achieved through notification/registration, evaluation, authorization, and restriction.
K-REACH Registration deadlines for existing substances:
Must be registered before manufacture or import; substances under 100 kg/year only require notification.
Must be registered before manufacture or import; pre-registration is no longer possible.
Registration is required above 1 t/year, with deadlines by tonnage:
- 1,000+ tpa: 31 Dec 2021
- 100–1,000 tpa: 31 Dec 2024
- 10–100 tpa: 31 Dec 2027
- 1–10 tpa: 31 Dec 2030
