EU REACH

Acquire or maintain access to the EU market through EU REACH compliance

Our experienced regulatory consultants, backed up by a team of scientific experts, take a collaborative approach to determining and then delivering the optimal strategy for achieving your compliance with EU REACH. This ensures you can access the market in the most efficient way possible and with full confidence in your regulatory compliance.

What Is It?

The REACH Regulation is the EU’s overarching chemicals legislation and one of the most complex and multi-faceted pieces of legislation in the Union’s history. The regulation addresses the manufacture, import and use of chemicals and impacts not only companies located in the EU but also any global business that sells into or sources from this important market.

If you intend to manufacture or import more than a tonne of a chemical substance into the EU then you are likely to need to register that substance with the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA). However, there are a number of compliance strategies available and Yordas can help you to find the most appropriate and effective route through this process.

Even though EU REACH came into force nearly 20 years ago, the associated compliance obligations have continuously evolved during this period and continue to do so. Whether it be the introduction of new hazard classifications (Eg. ED, PMT, vPvM), publication of restrictions covering large substance groups (Eg. PFAS), or increasingly stringent evaluation of submissions the need for vigilance and proactive implementation of compliance strategies only grows.
